James Bergmuller did not start in the sport of motor racing like many of his competitors, but always had a passion for competitive racing. In 1997 Bergmuller began working in his family’s automotive business, the PM Group. With cars in his blood, Bergmuller found he had a passion and addiction for motor racing.

James_B_240x150In 2003, he drove his first race at Queensland Raceway in a 1986 Formula Ford and finished 6th for the round.

Bergmuller went on to have numerous top 10 finishes and at the end of 2007 wanted to move into the V8 Development Series. He began testing then driving for the Tasman Motorsport/Greg Murphy racing team throughout 2008.

His passion for racing escalated along with his performance. In 2008 James Bergmuller competed in the Fujitsu Development Series, finishing 20th overall in the category.

After stepping away from the track to focus on the PM business and his family, Bergmuller returns as the only Porsche Dealer entry in the 2013 Porsche Carrera Cup Series.

Owned by the PM Group, Porsche Centre Brighton has entered the Carrera Cup Car into the 2013 series uniting experience, expertise and passion to form a competitive team.

Helping him enter into the Carrera Cup is one of the championship’s current front-running competitors, Steven Richards. “It is invaluable to have the expertise of someone like Steven Richards on your team. Not only will he do all the work on the car at the track for us as well as test days and transport, but he will be able to provide us with all the data and give us the knowledge we need in that area to perform” says James Bergmuller.

“Combine that with the crew at Porsche Centre Brighton who will work on the car away from the track, I think we have a pretty formidable team for 2013”.

With a love for historic touring cars and only 3 years of car racing experience, Fraser Ross shot into the highly competitive Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge in 2012.

After proving last year Fraser Ross was more than an ambitious Porsche enthusiast, his positioning so far in the 2013 Porsche GT3 Cup has titled him a force to be reckoned with. Ross is determined to succeed, “with one season under my belt, 2013 is my time to get some strong results and, if all things go to plan, fight for the title”.

The Porsche Centre Brighton GT3 Cup Car is the expression of pure speed and Ross’ performance showcases his passion and determination making him the perfect fit for Porsche engineering. Only 22 we can expect to see excellence throughout Ross’ career and Porsche Centre Brighton is looking forward to watching him on the circuit during the series.

Being home to the Porsche Centre Brighton Carrera Cup Car signifies the passion for sports cars that surrounds our dealership. From sales to service our ‘pit crew’ is proud to support Ross in the Porsche GT3 Cup and Bergmuller in the 2013 Carrera Cup.
